The present study this is a computerized literature search on the care of nursing at the end of life in patients admitted to the intensive care unit. Was to to identify the scientific production of nursing,
selecting the best ways possible to face the death process in the hospital to the patients / family members of nursing staff in intensive care unit. Was completed the preparation of this research that nurses in intensive care are not emotionally prepared to cope with the care at end of life as these, are taught to care for life but not of death and how best to cope patient/family takes place after the implementation a plan of palliative care, providing this patient a dignified death.
