The importance of the nurse in the management of invasive hemodynamic monitoring in the ICU - Systematized Literature Review

Abstract


Problem: To report the importance of the nurse to the hemodynamic monitoring in the intensive care unit. Method: This was a systematized review of the SCIELO, PubMed and BVS databases from 2011 to 2017. Objective: To review the evidence-based guidelines that will assist the intensive care nurse in identifying and treating of nursing care related to hemodynamic monitoring in an intensive care unit. Result: The intensive care nurse must be able to identify clinical signs and be aware of hemodynamic monitoring in the intensive care unit. Discussion: Due to the scarcity of literature, more studies are needed that present scientific evidence related to nursing interventions for the management of hemodynamic monitoring to the client.
