DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES FOR NURSING INTERVENTION RELATED TO ARTERIAL BLOOD SAMPLE COLLECTION – SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW.

Abstract


Summary:
Objective: To search the professional literature for experience in the implementation of digital technologies related to the collection of arterial blood samples (or specimens) in nurses' work, as well as their treatment and therapeutic results in high complexity settings. Methodology: The present study used an integrative literature review as a method, carried out between September and December 2022, with a search in the Virtual Health Library database, on the theme “nursing”, LILACS, BDENF and MEDLINE. Combinations between: “blood sample collection”, “blood gas analysis”, “health technology”, “digital technology” and “nursing care” were used as descriptors. Results: After reading the articles, resulting from the search based on the selected descriptors, 10 articles were selected that answered the proposed practical question. Conclusion: It is essential that the nurse who works in intensive care master the new digital technologies, referring to the safe assistance of arterial puncture, to guarantee greater comfort to the patient and greater safety of the technique.
