The client with sickle cell disease in pain crise at the Emergency Department: evidenced based nursing practice

Abstract

The objective of this article was to display the current questions concerning the attendance to the client with sickle cell with pain, carrying through a bibliographical revision of the research of nursing of last the 5 years, in the databases of the Scielo, the Capes and the Medline. One displays with 10 research chosen for analysis with its authors, objectives, sample sizes, type of studies, main found and its conclusions. The results show the lack of consensus concerning the study of pain in sickle cell. It is verified that has one urgent necessity of application of a scale of pain, adjusted for the client with sickle cell in emergency.
