Patient in peritoneal dialysis and the risk of infection – evidenced based nursing practice

Abstract


The present article is constituted in a literature revision on the nursing cares in patients with chronic renal inadequacy submitted to the treatment dialysis, in search of to minimize the infection risks and to promote the improvement the quality of life. In that sense, it was aimed at to identify, through the scientific production among the years of 2003 and 2007, the frequency and the risk factors that predispose to complications in patients with chronic renal inadequacy submitted to the peritoneal dialysis, comparing her to the hemodialysis.
