NURSING INTENSIVE CARE ANABLED BY DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY FOR THE PATIENT WITH IMPAIRED SKIN INTEGRITY – SISTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract

This study is a bibliographic research on the implementation of digital technologies that help nurses in the design of critical patient conducts with impaired skin integrity, introducing the construction of the Braden scale in the electronic medical record of the person (EHR), Methodology: This is a bibliographic study of the integrative review of articles in databases: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online (MEDILENE), Virtual Health Library (VHL), Latin American Literature, and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS), from April to November 2023. Results: In the search, 30 articles were found, where 12 articles were in accordance with the following descriptors: health (person's medical record), OR (skin lesion), AND (Braden scale), AND (impaired skin integrity). The study was constructed and based on the Oxford Level of Scientific Evidence. Discussion: The implementation of the person's medical record (EHR) in the ICU is of great importance for the nursing process through digital technologies, aiming at improvements and optimization in the care provided to patients hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit with risk of impaired skin integrity. In order for this implementation to occur effectively, it must be conducted by Continuing Education so that there is engagement in the incorporation of the use of technology as an ally to nursing care, evidenced in: change of decubitus, skin care, hydration, nutrition and attention to the use of amines. Conclusion: For this to occur, nurses must be well trained so that all the information contained in the process of collecting information about the patient's history is very well described in the EHR. In this way, the nurse will be able to outline appropriate conducts consistent with the patient's clinical condition, guided by the construction of the Braden scale, which is an instrument for assessing the risk of developing pressure ulcers.
