Strategies of nurses in conducting the triad: team nursing, patient and family - literature review

Abstract


Objective: To identify and analyze published articles that demonstrate evidence of how the nurse can deal with the aforementioned triad, in practice. Methods: This was a systematic review of the literature using the keywords Decs "nursing care, Health and Family Relationship professional family" and MeSh "family support, psychological stress relief and Suffering Caused by stress," employing the PICO strategy. Results: We diversified, identifying that the careful approach of the healthcare team is required at each step of patient care, should be based on the assessment of the family system. The presence of psychologists in ICU staff becomes important to monitor and evaluate this process. Conclusion: Much knowledge is produced daily, but not all studies have published data and quality statistics, we take as true for such information. It is for the intensivist carefully evaluate studies leading them to a clinical question, select the best internal and external validity and thus conclude the most convincing evidence and appropriate for the profile of their patients and families and the best approach to be followed.
