Nursing evidence-based inteprofissional practice guidelines for self-care deficit dressing in ICU – Systematic Literature Review

Abstract

Abstract: The deficit in self-care for dressing is conditioned by the impaired ability to perform or complete dressing and self-dressing activity, ie inability to put clothing on the upper body; inability to put clothing on the lower part of the body, and pain may be a cause of this deficit. Pain has been conceptualized by the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) as "an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage, or described in terms of such injuries." Objective: Review evidence-based, interprofessional guidelines that will assist the Intensivist nurse in identifying and treating nursing care behavior related to Self-Care Dressing Deficit in the context of the interprofessional team. Method: Integrative literature review through the search of an online, computerized and / or manual database in the from 2011 to 2017. Conclusion: The nursing diagnosis is the clinical evaluation by the nurse based on the responses of the individual, family or community to actual or potential health problems or vital processes.
